Lil Wayne Sued For $1.3 Million For Missed Shows | MUSIC NEWS

Lil Wayne is in hot water again for allegedly skipping out on his day job in The Big Apple.

The Grammy winner is being sued by a Rochester promoter after missing three shows which he was scheduled to perform. RMF Productions have filed a lawsuit against the multi-platinum rapper for $1.3 million. RMF’s general manager Edward Strickland has alleged that Wayne received an advanced payment of $100,000 last October, but Wayne would cancel his scheduled performance at the Blue Cross Arena due to a supposedly weak sound system. Wayne rescheduled again for a December 6 performance, but failed to appear once again.

Lil Wayne then rescheduled again for January 21, but stood up RMF and Strickland again after explaining via email that it was due to “the logistics of the band.” The purported reason, however, was due to the entire crew traveling to Calgary the following day for their “I Am Music” tour, and skipped the Rochester show altogether as it was a separate show and was not a part of the tour.
